CELEBRATE IN STYLE

Speaking of Alabama fans... you may have heard that Alabama won the National Championship on January 7, 2009. They've been a tad excited here in the Heart of Dixie. Just a tad. While only doctors and lawyers could afford to pay scalpers $1200 a pop for tickets after traveling to Pasadena, Everyday-Joe-Fan was able to gaze upon and pose with the $30,000 Coach's Trophy. It was displayed over the weekend at two different... um... ehem... Wal-mart stores.

Yeah, Wal-mart. Look, there really are people with a lot of class in... we aren't all redne-... many famous and talented artists were born and raised... aw, damn.

Actually, the 'Bama fans around here claim they won last year, too.

I'm an uneducated redneck and don't know which National Championship is being discussed? [giggle] All I watch is Baseball and motorcycle racing. My world turns in greased grooves between March-November. :)

A Little Horse Tradin'

Young Bernie bought a horse from a farmer for $100. The farmer agreed to deliver the horse the next day. The next day he drove up and said, “Sorry, son, but I'm afraid the horse died.”

Bernie replied, "That's okay, just bring me the dead horse.”

So the farmer brought it and a month later ran into Bernie. “What did you do with that dead horse?”

“I raffled him off. I sold 500 tickets at two dollars apiece and made a profit of $998.”

The farmer said, “You can't raffle off a dead horse! Didn't anyone complain?”

Bernie replied, “Just the guy who won. So I refunded his two dollars.”

At The Social Security Office:

A older gentleman walked into the office to apply for Social Security. After waiting in a long line he was asked for his driver's license to verify his age. He looked in his pockets and realized he had left his wallet at home.

He told the woman that he was very sorry but he seemed to have left his wallet at home. "Am I going to have to come back and wait in line again?"

The woman says, "Unbutton your shirt."

So he did, revealing lots of curly silver hair.

She said, "That silver hair on your chest is proof enough for me" and processed his Social Security application.

When he got home the man excitedly told his wife about his experience.

She replied, "You should have dropped your pants... you might have qualified for disability, too."
